The function leads the research and innovation activities in MASCO, identifying new technical solutions in the delivery of projects and making sure that MASCO remains competitive. Through innovation we identify and develop new technical products, services and processes, creating increased value for MASCO and its clientele.
It provides technical input to Skanska's risk management process to reduce risk in relation to complex large-span structures, potential systemic faults and the use of new unproven materials. It also provides technical support for problem solving, and claims resolution, working through a coordinated internal and external network of experts.
Research and innovation are at the core of MASCO’s activities. But unlike other firms, we aim to focus on research and innovation for human wellbeing and not for our own interest. We try to find unique ways to create a sustainable, green future. Through such research we can pinpoint issues in our process that we can make more sustainable.
